Vegan Congee Recipe Ingredients

– 1 cup of sushi rice
– 6 cups of vegetable broth
– 1 tbsp of minced ginger
– 2 minced garlic cloves
– 1 tbsp of soy sauce
– 1 tsp of chili oil
– 1/2 a cup of sliced green onions
– 1/2 a cup of chopped cilantro
– 1/2 a cup of fried shallots

Vegan Congee Recipe Cooking Instructions

1. Rinse the sushi rice until the water runs clear.
2. In a large pot, combine rice, vegetable broth, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
3. Stir in soy sauce and chili oil.
4. Serve topped with green onions, cilantro, and fried shallots.
