Vegan Mushroom Gravy Recipe

Vegan Mushroom Gravy Ingredients
- 1 cup of sliced shiitake mushrooms
- 1/4 cup of chopped onions
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of cold pressed extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of all-purpose gluten-free cassava flour
- 1 and a 1/2 cups of vegan vegetable broth
- 1/2 a cup of unsweetened almond milk
- 1 teaspoon of vegan soy sauce
- Pink Himalayan salt and ground pepper to taste
Vegan Mushroom Gravy Instructions
- In a pan, heat the cold pressed extra virgin olive oil over medium heat. Add the shiitake mushrooms, onions, and garlic. Until you sauteed shiitake mushrooms to a tender texture.
- Sprinkle the gluten-free cassava flour over the mushroom mixture and stir for a minute to cook the flour.
- Slowly add the vegan vegetable broth and unsweetened almond milk while stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer until it thickens.
- Transfer sauce to a blender and blend to your desired consistency.
- Then transfer it back into the pan on low heat.
- Stir in the vegan soy sauce and season with pink Himalayan salt and ground pepper to taste.
- Once your vegan mushroom gravy reaches the thickness or runny consistency you like, remove it from heat, and it’s ready to serve.
