The W Los Angeles in West Beverly Hills has vegan choices on their menu. It’s the perfect place to stay as the hotel is close to the West Hollywood restaurant scene. Texas is not a place that is usually synonymous with veganism. In fact it’s known for BBQ. Unfortunately we have struggled to suggest a hotel that offers a selection of vegan food on it’s menu. We can only hope that the hotels in Austin can draw some inspiration from the vegan friendly restaurants in this city. But what we can suggest is staying at either the ARRIVE Austin, Canopy by Hilton Austin Downtown, Carpenter Hotel or Hotel Magdalena. That’s because all of these hotels are close to a number of interesting vegan friendly restaurants in Austin. So is Texas one of the most vegan friendly cities that the USA has hidden from the world?
7. San Diego
Being one of the most southern large cities in California, San Diego attracts a lot of tourists. In fact, during the summer months, the tourists actually outnumber the locals. We believe that’s why the city follows popular food trends that they know their visitors will be excited to taste. This city has a lot of vegan friendly places to dine at and stay the night. Pendry is a beautiful 5 star hotel located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. We can’t say enough good things about their vegan dinning options. For the best plant-based drinks and dishes they have to offer you must try their restaurant Provisional or bar Fifth & Rose (you won’t regret it!).
8. Atlanta
These days it does seem as though every Georgia Peach is trying out the vegan diet. Whether it be for the animals, health reasons or even weight loss, this has not gone unnoticed by the restaurant industry. In fact, it has encouraged the opening of a lot more vegan friendly restaurants & hotels. One of the most successful and famous new vegan spots in Atlanta is the Slutty Vegan. This extremely popular burger joint has cues for miles. But if your looking for hotels that are close to vegan friendly restaurants we recommend staying at the either the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Hilton Atlanta, Sheraton Atlanta Hotel or The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta. 9. Philadelphia
Pennsylvania is home of the Amish and they probably have no idea what veganism is. Some might say it’s also home to Philadelphia’s national treasure, the Philly cheesesteak. 10. Oakland
The city of Oakland in California has a very busy port. It’s also home to the Oakland raiders football team. With so many new people going in and out of the city everyday we are 100% sure that some these people will be looking to find some plant-based food options. No, your eyes did not deceive you. Detroit is actually on our list. Unfortunately, the last few decades have not been kind to the city of Detroit. It has been through a lot over the last few years. Thankfully, Detroit is now going through somewhat of a rebirth. People are slowly moving back to this city. It is being rebuilt one brick at a time. If your visiting Detroit we recommend staying in the heart of the city which is close to quite a few restaurants that serve plant-based dishes. You can’t go wrong staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Detroit Downtown, The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit or Atheneum Suite Hotel. While in this rebirthed city we think you should try a few plant-based hotspots like The Brooklyn Street Local LLC, Seva & Chili Mustard Onions.
15. Washington DC
Washington DC is the capital of the United States of America. The capital city of most countries is where you normally find progression and change taking place. New ways of thinking and lifestyle changes may have been adopted in Washington DC long before all the other cities in America. What do you think? You probably can’t believe your eyes at this point. Kansas City? We know what you’re thinking. How the hell did Kansas City, Missouri make it onto this list? It’s very simple. This city has a rapidly growing plant-based community. The Loews Kansas City Hotel & Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center are close to most or the vegan friendly restaurants in the city including the Café Gratitude Kansas City, Blue Bird Bistro & ProteinHouse.
18. San Francisco
This California city is most famous for its crooked Street, Alcatraz prison and the Golden Gate bridge. But did you know it’s also a huge melting pot of cultures? 21. Miami
Yes, Miami is known for its Art Deco architecture, rollerblading, tropical climate and being the cruise capital of the USA. But did you know that’s not all that it’s known for these days. Thanks to the animal lovers and health conscious individuals that live in this city, Miami is changing drastically for the better. It’s becoming more vegan friendly. Personally we think staying at SLS South Beach Miami or Hilton Bentley Miami South Beach would be a good choice as Miami Beach (particularly South Beach) is littered with plant-based food options. Full Bloom Vegan is one of the places that you just have to try if your looking for a vegan meal in Miami.
22. Atlantic City
In recent years the Jersey Shore, with Snookie and co has become what New Jersey is known for. But once again Atlantic City is rising like a phoenix from the ashes. It’s cementing its rightful place as an iconic fixture of the state of New Jersey. But, surprisingly enough it doesn’t owe this thanks to its casinos. The plant-based community seem to be moving in. Why not visit Caesars Atlantic City hotel, that’s not that far from Vegans Are Us Atlantic City which is a 100% kosher and plant-based spot to eat.
