Vegan Thanksgiving

Although you might not have a lot of guests over this year for your vegan Thanksgiving, because of the coronavirus and social distancing. You still have the delicious vegan Thanksgiving recipes to look forward to. Thanks to Covid you can eat as much as you like and still have more than enough leftovers. You don’t have to share with as many people as you did years past. Covid has also given you a convenient reason for getting away from those awkward family dinners on Thanksgiving that most people really don’t want to attend. With aunts complaining about the cooking and uncles falling asleep drunk in front of the TV, we totally understand why some people want to avoid this holiday at all costs.

Cruelty

The reason why some of us want to distance ourselves from this holiday is because of the cruelty. Every Thanksgiving millions of turkeys are needlessly slaughtered across America for the consumption of humans on this holiday. Having a Thanksgiving meal with your non vegan family members can become a bit of a challenge. That’s because some of them participate in this cruel and needlessly barbaric tradition of eating an actual Turkey on Thanksgiving.

Brainwashing

Call us crazy but the team at Caavakushi don’t think that the mass slaughtering of turkeys is anything to celebrate. In fact it’s quiet horrifying, if you think about it. There are definitely other ways to keep the Thanksgiving tradition alive. The most important part of Thanksgiving is the coming together and breaking of bread with family and friends. This can most certainly be done without inflicting violent crimes against animals. We can prove it to you if you carry on reading. We have some exceptionally delicious vegan Thanksgiving recipes for you to try out.

Thanksgiving Memories

But it’s not all bad. This is definitely a holiday that is centred around food and family. Everyone wants to make the most delicious meals. The food is really what brings the holiday to life. Are your Thanksgiving memories associated with a particular dish you ate as a child on Thanksgiving? Is this one of your favourite holidays? If the answer is yes to any of the aforementioned questions then you’re in for a treat. We’ve put together a compilation of the Caavakushi team’s unusual but delicious vegan Thanksgiving recipes for you.
